Latest Updates from Our Project:

Final Update before Backerkit Release (We Hope!)
over 6 years ago – Sun, Sep 01, 2019 at 12:19:11 AM

Alright, so, we've figured out a way to do what we are trying to do through Backerkit.

The issue we were having was in the way we set up our bonuses as pledge levels, which helped us keep track of everything, but was very difficult to reflect in the Backerkit setup.

The way it worked out is like this:

We altered the "price" of each pledge level to $70, or the cost of a single Leather D20 (with the reduced price due to the delays, and of course, $60 for the early bird backer level).

In the backerkit survey, the first $70 (or $60) of your pledge is applied to a leather D20, and you will be given the option to choose the color of leather as well as the style for the facets.

Then, on the add-on page, any amount over the original $70 for the first D20 will be given as a credit to apply towards shipping or add-ons, including additional Leather D20s.  If you pledged for one of our bonus levels, like the $100 or $200 backer level, your extra items will already be included in your order.

So, if you pledged $150, for instance, because you wanted to get two of our Leather D20s, your backerkit would look like this:

$70 First Leather D20, Free Bonus Leather Keychain, $80 in "credit" for Add-ons

In the add-ons, you would select the Leather D20 and choose style and color, and have $10 leftover to apply towards shipping or another add-on of your choice.

We hope this isn't too complicated, and we know giving you an extra $5 off added to it, but at the very least you can apply that to your shipping costs!

Backerkit is working with us right now to finalize the shipping details so we can send out the surveys!

Backerkit Update!
over 6 years ago – Sat, Aug 24, 2019 at 09:55:57 AM

It looks like the issues we were having with setting up our backerkit are all getting resolved, and we wanted to include a quick screenshot from the process so you can see the work going into setting this up for you.

As you can see, we are setting it up so that backers can choose as many Leather D20s they like, with all options and colors unlocked, and choose any add-ons based on their pledge level, with the option to add additional funds to get any add-ons or additional D20s bags!

Shipping will be calculated in the backerkit page automatically, which is the last bit of complication that's being sorted out now!

Quick update!
almost 7 years ago – Thu, Jun 13, 2019 at 09:21:39 AM

Hey guys, we're right in the middle of packing to head to New Orleans for a game fest where we'll be hosting a charity livestream and doing a bit of vending, but I wanted to take a second to drop you all a quick heads up!

The good news is that we WILL be using a pledge manager (BackerKit most likely) to help organize all our backers and make sure you get to easily select your options, add-ons, and any custom requests!  This also means if you have any last-minute addons you want to include, you'll be able to add them to your pledge before it is shipped, and you can also direct any of your friends who were too late for the campaign to pre-order their own leather D20 dice case once our regular fulfillment has completed!

That's the big update for now, but keep an eye out for another email coming soon.  Pledges are still being processed and we should have the backerkit set up shortly after that finishes!

Thank you all again so much!

Thank you all so much!

Thank you to all of our backers!

So, now begins the fun part!  As a first step, we are looking at several options for a pledge manager to give you all the options of late pledges or additions as part of our survey process.  Some of these pledge managers are very expensive, but at the very least, since there are a relatively small number of backers, we can work with you individually to handle any additions you want to add to your pledge and any special requests you may have.

I'm also happy to announce two big surprises!

#1. We're unlocking some of the designs that were being saved for stretch goals.  We're very happy with the results of this kickstarter and we're excited about some of the designs we've been testing and we want you to have a chance to choose from them.  We'll announce a full list including the previously unlocked design you voted on in our twitter poll.  We're working on sample photos of each and every design and color combination to help you choose your style!  We also have some options that were not mentioned in the campaign, such as different colors of stitching thread, that we may include in your pledge options (some of these may have an add-on cost, but most will just be additional options that all backers can choose from).

#2. This is a big one...  we've gotten a LOT faster at making these dice cases!  We are planning for early fulfillment for all backers.  We don't have an exact date yet, but we're thinking we may be a full month ahead of our original fulfillment date!

Finally, we're happy to announce that with the success of this Kickstarter, Dragon's Claw Tabletop will be launching an online shop, vending at multiple conventions and events in the SouthEast, and we're already working on our next kickstarter.

With your help, we did it, an now we get to do more!

Be sure to follow us on Twitter, @DragonsClawTT for more updates!  Thank you all again, so much!

First New Theme and Possible Change to Stretch Goals!
almost 7 years ago – Thu, May 16, 2019 at 10:17:53 AM

Nordic Knot wins!

So, we'll be working on a demo of the Nordic Knot as a full theme, but we also wanted to announce that we may add some more stretch goals in the range of $3,500 to $10,000.  These new goals will be to unlock more themes, since we want to give you guys plenty of chances to expand the selection, and we still have  a lot of theme ideas we think are worth exploring!

Keep spreading the word on the campaign, we've got a lot on our plate right now including a massive convention coming up where we will be promoting the dice bags, but we're also working on more ideas for this kickstarter like a carrying strap and a larger version with a deck holder built into the lid!  Plus, at the other end of the shop, we're already working on prototypes for our first wooden tabletop accessory kickstarters which we will launch as soon as we have fulfilled this one!

So, yeah, lots of stuff coming down the line, the more success we have with each kickstarter the more we can devote all our time to expanding, so spread the word! :D
